MotoSAT was founded in 1984 by the late Robert (Bob) Stacey of Wendell, Idaho. He enjoyed RV'ing but missed his Satellite Television when he was away from home. Determined to solve this problem, designed and built the first known motorized Satellite TV mount for a Recreational Vehicle (RV). On his first trip back to Arizona in his RV, Bob was approached by many other RV'ers wanting to purchase one of his RV Satellite TV Systems. Bob contacted his friend Ed Travis, an engineer for a company in Salt Lake City who built satellite television systems for the home consumer market. Ed was excited to see Bob's mount and several months later had designed an automatic Receiver/Positioner that was able to locate and identify over 20 Satellites in several minutes. This was the beginning of the first truly Automatic Satellite Television Systems for the RV Industry; this was the beginning of MotoSAT ...

Almost 20 Years later MotoSAT has proven itself as the pioneers and innovators that drive this industry. We are the oldest company in the consumer Satellite Television industry, and our future is bright. MotoSAT continues to lead the way in Mobile Satellite Pointing Technologies for both the consumer and commercial markets. Our emphasis is focused on quality and reliability.
